H100 Group, a Sweden-based publicly-traded health and longevity company, has successfully raised $10.5 million (SEK 101 million) as part of its strategic shift toward Bitcoin (BTC) investments. The funding round attracted a host of crypto-focused investors, including notable figures such as Blockstream CEO Adam Back, UTXO Management, and various family offices.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, the company detailed that the fundraising was structured through a combination of SEK 69.65 million derived from two share issues, alongside SEK 31.35 million in convertible loans. This innovative financing approach highlights a growing trend among firms in the public sector to integrate cryptocurrencies into their balance sheets.
The share issues attracted participation from a diverse array of crypto investors and Nordic family offices, signaling increased interest in crypto investments from traditional finance sectors. Notably, the convertible loans offered by H100 carry no interest and are set to mature in five years, with a conversion option available at SEK 1.75 per share.
As a result of this successful fundraising, H100’s shares experienced a significant uptick, advancing by 30% in the trading session on Wednesday. Since the company’s initial Bitcoin acquisition on May 22, its stock has surged nearly 400%, reflecting robust investor confidence in its Bitcoin treasury strategy.
This funding initiative represents the first tranche of a more extensive fundraising plan that H100 has hinted may expand in subsequent rounds. With these resources, the company aims to enhance its capabilities in managing a Bitcoin treasury, a strategy increasingly employed by public companies.
