The AB Charity Foundation has officially launched its global operations, revealing a newly upgraded website at www.ab.org. Headquartered in Ireland with recognized legal status under EU law, the Foundation is positioned as a global nonprofit entity. Its governance is led by a distinguished board of directors, including notable figures such as Bertie Ahern, former three-term Prime Minister of Ireland, who chairs the board. Other prominent members include Lawrence Gonzi of Malta, Péter Medgyessy of Hungary, Danilo Türk of Slovenia, and Petar Stoyanov of Bulgaria, all former heads of state.
The Foundation is actively seeking to expand its global advisory board with respected leaders from various sectors and continents. This initiative aims to guide strategic planning and support international collaborations to deliver impactful social initiatives.

Technically supported by AB DAO, the Foundation leverages blockchain infrastructure to ensure transparent operations. Through innovative mechanisms, 15% to 30% of the gas fees from every transaction on the AB public chain will be allocated to a dedicated charity pool. This new operational model for charitable funding combines on-chain fundraising, automated distribution, and full-chain auditability, ensuring third-party compliance.
Moreover, 15% to 30% of the returns generated by investments through the AB Ecosystem Fund will also contribute to the Foundation’s financial sustainability. The fund has already backed numerous projects, with more initiatives pending that will further the mission of the Foundation.
